Personal Bio

 

I was born and raised in a small coastal town in Massachusetts. I have been involved in the web design world since 2004 after I decided to return to school and earn my Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems – Web Design from Bristol Community College in Fall River, Massachusetts.  After working as a Quality Control Technician for a private company in New Bedford, Massachusetts for 15 years, I needed to spread my wings and take off with something new that was growing and prospering with the ever-changing technologies.

 

In 2005, my parents decided to sell their house and move to the Tampa Bay area of Florida.  I decided to move to San Diego, California and pursue my career in Web Design, but decided at the very last minute to remain in the Tampa Bay area and attend school there instead.  In 2008, I graduated from The Art Institute of Tampa with a BFA in Interactive Media and Web Design. 

 

I never planned to be a web designer; it just kind of happened. I actually wanted to be an on-camera meteorologist (weatherman) since a very young age.  My interest in the weather ended up becoming a hobby rather than a career.

 

My primary focus is on Flash, HTML and CSS sites using Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash.  Besides web design, I also enjoy designing and redesigning logos and manipulating and improving images and photographs.  My strong organizational skills make me a solid team project leader.

 

My vision is surely not to try and reinvent the wheel.  I enjoy marrying the old and the new together into one and delivering new and refreshing ideas to the table.  I appreciate nature, art and architecture and look toward these areas for creative inspiration.

 

In my leisure time, I am an avid bowler and have been since the young age of seven.  I love nature and enjoy traveling to see her beauty throughout the world.  I also love peaceful times with family, friends and my pets. When not working, I try to teach myself new skills and techniques to help improve my future designs.

 

I currently reside in Clearwater, Florida.
